To introduce the child around 2.5 years old. Tracing lines in the sandbox for pre-writing activity.
Pre-activities: a lot of practical life activities.
This fun tracing exercises where one needs to prepare a box with sand (I use deco sand). Present the child first how to trace the line with the finger on the card first by starting from the dot. Then let the child trace multiple times the lines in the sandbox. Introduce 1 to 3 cards at the time. Start with simple straight line and then to curve lines.
My materials are designed on an A4 sized paper to be printed on actual size.
