Cursive letters (uppercase and lowercase) for sandbox tracing or matching activities

$0.00

Pre-writing skills:

A download of a PDF file with:

- 26 “cursive“ letters in uppercase (capital) and lowercase in black and white

To introduce the child around 3.5-4 years old after pre-writing activities such as practical life, sensorial, tracing shapes and forms. The lowercase letters are introduced first and then the capital letters.

This is great to practice hand and eye coordination. To have a more sensorial material, one can use the printable and make them rough with glue so the child can feel it more like the sandpaper letters before tracing the letter into the sandbox.

One can use the printables also for a matching activity. In order to introduce the child to the capital letters one can perform a matching activity with the capital letters to the lowercase letters which the child already mastered.

  • To associate sound of the letter with their graphic symbols

  • To prepare the hand for writing

  • To experience the wrist, hand, arm motion with the letters

  • To connect the sound to the letter

  • To match lowercase to uppercase (capital letters) letters

*Also check out the matching letters booklets and for more advanced writing, the tracing letters booklets under shop

My materials are designed on an A4 sized paper to be printed on actual size. One can print on thick paper or on normal paper and laminate.

Please note that the materials are meant for your personal use only and it is not permitted to modify, resale or further redistribution.
